My wife and I have been thinking about getting a new patio cover for a while now, but we didn’t know how to choose the right one. It’s interesting that aluminum covers are actually very good when it comes to maintenance. It would be nice to know that it’s not going to take a lot to keep looking nice.

You suggested that aluminum patio covers need almost no maintenance except for the occasional cleaning, which you can do by spraying it down with a hose. Ever since we moved into our house my wife has been wanting some kind of cover over our patio in our backyard. Do most people choose to use aluminum materials for their patio covers?

My dream is to have a beautiful patio that we can enjoy outside. I am like you, and think that wood is a great looking choice for covering the patio. While maintenance is greater, I think wood is worth it.

I have to agree that wooden patio covers look great on most homes; they’re such a classic look! Plus, it’s fairly easy to make wooden patio covers mesh with a modern home as well. You could paint the wood black or white to go with a more modern color scheme.

Our back patio has always been really sunny, and we were thinking about getting something put in to shade it a little better. I really like that you have plenty of different stains that can be used when using wood to make the cover! Since there are so many different types of wood our there, it would be nice to choose the colors we want.
